1) Three weeks post-graduation, and I have been living my best life back home - jogging and playing badminton with my dad, and going cafe-hopping with my mum after dinner. That being said, recently things have started picking up again. Here are three things that I've been up to recently:
2) Meeting up with my secondary school teachers. As a proud alumnus of SMK Anderson, it was a pleasure to pay my old school a visit, and to meet up with my teachers. Coincidentally, my biology teacher was in the middle of her lesson, so I was asked to give an impromptu speech about my medical school journey to the Form 5 students. Hopefully, they found it useful. Coming back to Anderson, I realised that nothing much has changed - most of my old teachers are still there, and the buildings themselves have not changed at all, other than some minor renovations in the foyer.
3) Going to Kuala Lumpur to collect my visa. My mum and I have just returned from KL, after having applied for a visa three weeks ago. Knowing how easily I tend to misplace my belongings, my mum very kindly took a few days off to accompany me to collect it. Of course, we took the opportunity to do some sight-seeing as well. So the question becomes - why would I need a visa?
4) On to the big announcement then - next month I'll be moving to the UK to start working as a Foundation Year 1 doctor. If I'm honest, I had received my offer (to work in the UK) a few months back, but there were many obstacles along the way at that time, so I refrained from announcing it publicly until I knew for sure I could go. With my visa processed, the only two things I need to sort out are flight tickets and accommodation, and then I'll be ready to go. I'm really glad that many of my friends are coming along as well (to both UK and Ireland), and hopefully we'll be able to meet up regularly / help each other survive.

Berjaya Times Square KL - a 48-storey, 666 ft twin tower, hotel, condominium, indoor amusement park and shopping centre complex, that also happens to be one of the largest buildings in the world by floor area!

Came here to try their fish noodle soup - thick rice noodles cooked in a milky white broth and served with fried fish fillet, bean curd, and vegetables.
Back in Ipoh, we discovered that there is indeed a Manhattan Fish Market here as well
