DAY 237

Apr 26

1) Today has been yet another long day for me in the library. I came extra early to study, but I quickly discovered that having more time isn't of much use if you cannot concentrate. So I took some time off in between periods of study, and that seemed to help me learn better.

2) I've reverted to studying Anatomy rather than the REGUB lectures, since we will have our Anatomy Practicals (the equivalent of the final exam for Card Signing haha) in two days. I took the opportunity to look through my own notes too, to speed up my learning.

3) In the evening, I dropped by Dunnes Stores to pick up some groceries. Many exams are looming ahead, so I think it's good to stock up so I'm not distracted during the exam period. I want to write more, but sadly I have neither the content (nor the time) to do so haha. But after exams, they'll definitely be some really interesting things coming up. Stay tuned... and thanks for reading. Have a nice day, cheers!

DAY 145

Jan 24

1) Today was a really tiring day for me. I got up early in the morning, had my toast for breakfast, before packing up and heading for our first lecture. After the lecture, Group A went for their anatomy practicals while I, being in Group B, went down to the Coffee Doc to study. Our turn arrived soon enough, and we learnt about the muscles and vasculature of the leg, and did some dissection too.

2) At 1.00pm, our session ended, and I had an hour's break for lunch. But instead, I went to the Group Study Room 3 in Mercer Library, where my friends had agreed to meet up to discuss about our upcoming Team Project. On top of that, we each have to do an individual project, not to mention our first quiz starts next Friday! And we're only into our second week of study...

3) Hurriedly returned to RCSI after the meeting, since not much time was left. Sat through another three hours of lecture, and by 5.00pm the entire class was mentally gone. Some of my friends went back to cook, while I returned to the library (my second home), where I took a short break while having my dinner. A power nap later, and it was back to the old grind, burying myself in study until late at night.

4) Finally, by about 9.30pm plus, my mind was completely saturated with info, and no amount prodding would allow anything to enter anymore. So I had a light supper at the Mercer Cafe, before packing my stuff and walking home. I still have to finish my laundry before tucking into bed. Oh well, that's another day in my shoes haha. Hope you enjoyed reading about it, and have a great day. Cheers!

Lemon and Lime Marmalade, Orange Marmalade, Smooth Peanut Butter Toast for breakfast today ^^

DAY 138

Jan 17

1) Today was another long day for me! Woke up early to have my toast, and then went straight to RCSI to leave my containers and jacket at the Coffee Doc. We had one lecture, followed by a small group tutorial where we did Gastrointestinal (GI) History-Taking, followed by Anatomy Practicals in the Anatomy Room. We focused primarily on the lower limbs today, including the muscles, vessels and anatomical landmarks in the region.

2) By 1.00pm, everyone was famished. I went down to Coffee Doc, to heat up my rice for lunch. Tasted great as always, that or I was really hungry. We had to seat through another two lectures after that, and I could not be more relieved after lessons ended. Went outside the lecture theatre to collect our class jackets :D

3) Made my way to Mercer Library. The good news is we have the next two days off, which gives me time to catch a breather before the next barrage of assignments. Had dinner a little while later, before reviewing the day's lectures as well the next lectures this Friday. A bit of relaxing and some supper later, and I was packing my stuff to go back home. That's all for my blog update today, and I hope you enjoyed reading. Thank you for reading as always, and have a great day. Cheers!

DAY 95

Dec 5

1) Today was a mentally-draining day. Woke up for some toast, and then walked to the library as usual for my revision. Spent the morning cramming facts into my brain, and then went for lunch at Dicey's.

2) I opted for the turkey and ham portion, with stuffing inside. It was positively delicious! Came back and waited for over hour before being admitted for the practical exam. It turns out two surgeon prosectors were absent today, so there was a delay. Finally, at around two, it was time. Two prosectors, one whom I had seen before, greeted me and asked for my student ID.

3) Then the barrage of questions began. I tried my best, and I have no regrets, but there was just a lot of information to retain, and there were so many gaps in my memory. Anyway, what's done can't be undone, so I'll be hoping to study extra hard for the extra modules.

4) Came back to the library soon after, and then in the evening I went to Dunnes to do my groceries. Had my dinner at Burrito Blues and found out that all burritos sell for €5.00 on Mondays, as opposed to €6.00+, depending on which type of burrito. Awesome! ^^

5) For the rest of the night, I plan to prepare for the next exam, which is Fundamentals of Biomedicine. That's all for tonight, and thank you very much for reading. Good day/night. Cheers!
