DAY 102

Dec 12
1) Today was an intense day. I had a quota of thirteen lectures to complete, and not a lot of time to do so. Woke up later than usual (cuz I slept late...) so I bought scones for breakfast at Coffee Doc RCSI, before making my way to the library. Then it was full force studying until lunch time.

2) For lunch, I went to the shop located below Subway on Grafton St. I finally found out (thanks to my dad hehe) that it is called Bia Blas Cafe. Had a really nice chicken roll, some wedges and a cuppa joe. Returned for Round 2 of studying, and the coffee did wonders in keeping me awake.

3) Up until evening, and I was right on track to achieving my goal. Took a short break to walk around, and decided to grab a quick dinner. Went to Burrito and Blues, and I chose to treat myself a bit today by having the "Big @$$ Nachos". A little on the expensive side at €7.20, but worth every cent in my opinion. Essentially you get all the bells and whistles of a regular burrito, but instead of the tortilla you get lots and lots of nachos. In fact, it looked (and tasted) so good that some random stranger actually asked me what I was eating!

4) Walked back to the library, and will be starting Round 3 of studying soon after typing this out. To be honest, I'm okay with this level of intensity, if only because I know it is only for two more days XD After that, I'm on a vacation! That's it for my day today, and thank you very much for reading. Have a great day, cheers!

DAY 58

Oct 29

1) Today was an exciting day. Woke up to finish the last of my cereal, while video calling my parents. Then I went up to study a little, before meeting up with my friend Kuhan at RCSI to discuss about the upcoming debate at University College Cork.

2) Afterward, I went to get lunch. Tried out a new outlet called Pablo Picante, which is just opposite Tesco Baggot, where I do my weekly groceries. Had the beef barbacoa burrito for €6.50, before topping it off with nachos with guacamole for another €3.00 I chose the spiciest sauce available (Super Picante) and it was reasonably spicy, but not overly so.

3) Came back to book my train tickets to Kent Station, Cork. Then my friends informed me of some REALLY cheap flight tickets to Edinburgh, UK. So I booked those too. Will be making a trip to UK right after our finals at the end of the year. Really excited for this haha.

4) In the evening, I went out for the Halloween Night Market at the Bernard Shaw, a pub near my house. I didn't expect it to be actually INSIDE the pub, so I had a nice time looking for it XD. Finally found it and spent some time there, looking at the insanely cheap stuff for sale. I didn't buy anything though.

5) After a while, I decided to head home because the night market was basically just a flea market, with very little items on sale. Had a nice hot bath, before updating my blog as usual. That's all for tonight, and thank you for reading. Goodnight!

(glad to know my Malaysian self can tolerate this level of spiciness really well)

DAY 51

Oct 22

1) It's finally Reading Week. It's actually a bit bittersweet, because we have our second mid-term quiz right after that. So woke up later than usual, because time was not an issue today haha. Had bran flakes for breakfast, before studying the lecture slides in preparation for the upcoming Principal Seminars.

2) For lunch, I went to Boojum to try out their vegetarian meal. It came in a large burrito box and tasted awesome. I had planned to do my groceries today, but since I still had enough left, I decided against it and went back instead. Finished my studying for the afternoon, before taking a short nap.

3) In the evening, I cooked pasta for dinner. While simple, I really enjoy taking my mind off studying and just focusing on something else for a change. Came back up to update my blog, and will continue studying the slides for the next quiz shortly. That was my day, and it while not the most exciting, it definitely was a good day for me. Thanks for reading, and goodnight!

I think I'm starting to get the hang of this... XD
