DAY 103

Dec 13

1) Today was another study day. Woke up early, only to forget that my bread had already expired days ago. So I had no choice but to buy breakfast at Coffee Doc RCSI (just as I did yesterday). Ate my scones in the library, and began studying until noon.

2) I bought lunch at Subway, and returned to the library to eat in peace. I really like the fact that we are permitted to eat in the library, as this makes it so convenient to multitask. After a fine meal, I continued with anatomy revision until the evening. Nothing exciting except rote memorisation here haha

3) For dinner, I went to Boojum and had their hard-shelled tacos. Felt really satisfied afterwards. Came back to the library, and this is the final leg before the last paper tomorrow. Right after our exams, my friends and I are scooting off to Edinburgh for a couple of days! Can't wait for all of this to be over... Anyways, back to my studies I suppose. Thanks for reading as always, and have a great day. Cheers!

DAY 58

Oct 29

1) Today was an exciting day. Woke up to finish the last of my cereal, while video calling my parents. Then I went up to study a little, before meeting up with my friend Kuhan at RCSI to discuss about the upcoming debate at University College Cork.

2) Afterward, I went to get lunch. Tried out a new outlet called Pablo Picante, which is just opposite Tesco Baggot, where I do my weekly groceries. Had the beef barbacoa burrito for €6.50, before topping it off with nachos with guacamole for another €3.00 I chose the spiciest sauce available (Super Picante) and it was reasonably spicy, but not overly so.

3) Came back to book my train tickets to Kent Station, Cork. Then my friends informed me of some REALLY cheap flight tickets to Edinburgh, UK. So I booked those too. Will be making a trip to UK right after our finals at the end of the year. Really excited for this haha.

4) In the evening, I went out for the Halloween Night Market at the Bernard Shaw, a pub near my house. I didn't expect it to be actually INSIDE the pub, so I had a nice time looking for it XD. Finally found it and spent some time there, looking at the insanely cheap stuff for sale. I didn't buy anything though.

5) After a while, I decided to head home because the night market was basically just a flea market, with very little items on sale. Had a nice hot bath, before updating my blog as usual. That's all for tonight, and thank you for reading. Goodnight!

(glad to know my Malaysian self can tolerate this level of spiciness really well)

DAY 52

Oct 23

1) Today was a normal day. Woke up to have breakfast, before continuing yesterday's studies. Around noon, I decided I'd have a long overdue break, so went to Boojum again for lunch. Today I had the beef barbacoa burrito bowl, with extra spicy sauce. Apparently, there's no such thing as spicy here, which is surprising considering Boojum is a Mexican resto. The food tasted great though, no question about that.

2) Went to Tesco Baggot to do the week's groceries. Ended up buying a small Reese's Peanut Buttercup as a treat for myself haha. Then I had to carry my groceries all the way back home. Thankfully, Tesco is really quite near my house, so I didn't mind the walk, or the chilly weather.

3) Had no mood to study in the afternoon, so I prepared my documents for tomorrow's GNIB registration. Basically we have to register with the Garda Police in order to continue studying in Ireland. After a long time, I managed to settle all the documents which I'm bringing tomorrow. Went downstairs to prepare dinner, and here I am, back in my room and typing this out. Time to study now, so I'll end on this note. Thanks for reading, and have a great day. Cheers!
