DAY 280

Jun 8

1) Today has been a nerve wrecking day for me. We had been informed that our results would be released somewhere around this week, so wait we did, for most of the week. Then, two days back, we received notification that our results would only be released at the end of the week. Not counting the weekends, that meant that we would get it by Thursday or Friday.

2) I, for one, was quite concerned with my results as I felt there were one or two papers that I did poorly in. And the last thing I (or anybody, for that matter) wanted was to have to take the supplemental paper later next month. So you can imagine the anticipation that had built up, right until this morning when I refreshed my email list (for the umpteenth time) and saw the message pop up that our results were out.

3) By the skin of my teeth, I managed to obtain First Class Honours. It's definitely a wake up call to focus more on my studies, and not to get caught up in so many activities for the next academic year. Anyway, I have three months to contemplate how I'm going to balance my studies with other activities haha.

4) My research begins this Monday, so I'm definitely looking forward to it. The following nights I'll sleep that much more soundly now that I've finally gotten my results. To all my friends at RCSI who are reading this now, firstly thanks for visiting my blog - I really appreciate the support and love - and secondly, I hope you got the results that you were hoping for. For those who haven't got their results, all the best! That's been my day today, and thanks for reading. Cheers!

Congratzz to all the graduating students from RCSI :D

It has become customary for me to have a nice cup of Nescafe at night haha

DAY 274

Jun 2

1) These few days are going to be the most relaxing days for me in a long time. Waking up super late, plus having virtually nothing to do the whole day. Of course, when there's nothing to do, it's only natural to find something to do haha. So I've been cleaning up some of the mess in my room, in preparation for my shifting houses come next month.

2) Not much else to mention for the rest of the day. I was preoccupied catching up with YouTube videos for the most part. Finished watching the two big Tekken 7 competitions (Combo Breaker and Collision) on YouTube. For the uninitiated, Tekken is a fighting game series which I've taken a lot of interest in, and have been an active player back when I was younger (and addicted to gaming XD).

3) In the evening, Zi Yan came over to copy some of my phone camera pics into his Hard Drive. Shortly after he left, I decided I'd begin training for my marathon this October. Did an easy 4km this evening, and here's hoping I'll have enough reserve to complete the full 42km when the time comes. Bought dinner at Subway after the run, and took it back home to enjoy. The rest of the night I've just been listening to nice songs, and reading up a bit on the research project. That's all for my day, and hope you enjoyed reading. Have a great day, cheers!

DAY 139

Jan 18

1) Today has been a really long day for me. Woke up with a sore throat, which I absolutely dread because it usually comes with bouts of flu and fits of cough for days afterward. Still, I don't have a choice but to continue enduring... Gargled lots of saltwater after breakfast, before going to the library.

2) The upside was that I have two days off, which should give me enough time to sort things out. I studied for pretty much the entire morning, and my friends Nee Kee and Stephanie came to study too. I had my usual rice with sausages and mixed veggies for lunch; that being the last of my cooked meals. That means I have to cook again tonight.

3) In the afternoon, I continued studying for a while, before taking a short nap and then surfing the Internet. Later, I went to Dunnes to buy the groceries I needed to cook for the next couple of days. Came back to the library and had my dinner - just some sandwiches I made for myself in the morning. I really don't feel like eating whenever my throat hurts haha.

4) For the rest of the night, I tried to study but just couldn't find the strength to do so. Instead, I spent some time typing out this blog post, while listening to some relaxing music. I will probably leave the library earlier tonight, so I can cook afterwards and also because I want to get a good rest before lectures starts again. That's all for today, and thanks as always for reading. Cheers!

DAY 135

Jan 14

1) Today has been another "normal" day for me. I woke up late today, had a quick breakfast and then left for the library. I was preoccupied with my my daily cycle of surfing the Internet and watching videos online for the better part of the morning.

2) Later on, I met up with my good friends Nee Kee and Stephanie at their apartment. They had just come back from Malaysia after a month! I am sooooo jealous XD. Anyway, it was fun catching up with them until lunch. I had Boojum's burrito bowl for lunch, a welcome change to my otherwise monotonous diet.

3) Came back to the library in the afternoon, and spent a long while Skype-ing with my parents. It's still hard for me to get to grips with how quickly time flies. It feels like just yesterday I touched down in Dublin, and yet here I am, about to start the second semester coming Monday. Random musings aside, I had my power nap soon after, and awoke just in time for dinner!

4) The night was spent cycling through the usual process of listening to songs, searching online videos, updating this blog, and of course revising a little anatomy - just to keep things in motion. Some cookies, orange and a coffee later, and I was back home in my lovely apartment. I will be cooking meals for next week, and that means I will be sleeping later than usual today. Oh well, it's not like I'm complaining haha. That's the end of my blog update, and I hope you enjoyed reading. Have a great day, cheerios!

DAY 112

Dec 22

1) Today was another very enjoyable day. Woke up and had my breakfast, before heading over to the library. Skyped with my parents for a long while, before terminating the conversation as I had to go out soon.

2) Had my lunch at AK. Henry's, before going out with my friends to book our first trip (next Thurs) to Powerscourt. Walked all the way to Moore Market, where I bought 12 oranges for €2, a bargain if you ask me. Returned to Khee Heng's apartment, where we watched #2, Fate/Stay Night.

3) By around 5pm, Khee Heng had to go as he was expecting a visitor. That left just me, so I continued watching YouTube vids and listening to songs. I had scones from AK Henry's for dinner, and had an orange after that. A cup of Milo (courtesy of Khee Heng) and I was full.

4) At night, had some cookies and tea. Soon after that, packed my stuff and returned back home. That has been my day, and I hope you enjoyed reading about it. Have a great day, cheers!
