DAY 261

May 20

1) Today has been a rather tiring day. We woke up really early to catch the train to the ZOB Station. From there, we took the FlixBus to Nuremberg. From there, we passed the Nuremberg Central Station and headed to the tourist info centre, to ask for directions. Then, we went to walk along the Old Wall and to our first stop, the Palace of Justice. It was a good 30 minutes or so to walk there, but we saw some historic sights along the way, including the Opera House and the Germanisches Nationalmuseum. We did not have time to enter either of these, but merely to take some nice photos.

2) We spent a fair amount of time at the Palace of Justice, which is where the Nuremberg Trials were held. It was a shame we had so little time to spend there, as I found the exhibition and Courtroom 600 (the very same courtroom where the Nazi generals were convicted of their crimes during WWII) to be very intriguing. After the visit, we walked to the Haupfmarkt, where we had our lunch. We paid a visit to two churches in the vicinity of the market, which were the Frauenkirche (Church of our Lady) and St. Sebaldus Kirche.

3) My friends and I bought some famous cheesecake at the marketplace, as well as some souvenirs. By this time, it was getting late so we decided to walk back to the Nuremberg ZOB bus station. We stopped by St. Lawrence's Church, and went in for a short while. By five, the bus took us back home. So for dinner, we decided to try out some really highly rated schnitzel, at a place called Andy's Krablergarten. The schnitzel served was at least two handspans' length, and came accompanied with a side dish! Absolutely filling, and delicious to boot :D

4) We returned late to our hostel, but it's okay since we're only leaving the hostel at around 8 plus tomorrow morning. It was a tiring day as we had to walk the entire journey today, but nevertheless a thoroughly enjoyable experience! Thanks for reading as always, and enjoy the pics. Cheers!
