DAY 269

May 28

1) Today has been the most tiring day for me by far, and that's saying a lot considering the other adventures we have had thus far. I woke up earlier than the rest today, because I wanted to capture some photos of the historical landmarks of Split in the daytime. Made it back just in time to meet up with the rest, and together we walked to the meeting point for our 6-island day trip.

2) From Split, we took a boat to our first destination, the Blue Cave. With its silvery-blue colour, created by light refraction of sunlight entering through a crack in the stone, it certainly caught everyone's eye. Afterwards, we made our way to Komiza, a small town where we had a light breakfast. Our guide recommended a type of bread with fish (the name is in the one of the pics below haha) that resembled our "roti ikan bilis" which we have back in Malaysia.

3) Next on our agenda was Stiniva Bay, where we had the opportunity to try our hand at some snorkelling. For me, it was my first time and the many sea urchins made it difficult to navigate. Nevertheless, it was a really fun experience. We continued our journey to the Green Cave, which contains a hole on the top where light shines, spreading sparkling green light. Again, it has to be experienced to be truly appreciated.

4) After stopping for a brief moment at Budikovac Island, we headed to our final destination for the day, Hvar Town. The Sun was scorching throughout the day, and we looked for shelter as much as possible haha. After about an hour and a half, it was time to head back to Split. By the time we came back, all of us were sunburnt to some extent. Now it was time to think of dinner.

5) After checking out some options on Trip Advisor, we finally settled on Fife, a restaurant which also happened to be recommended by our host. The portions were enormous; literally it was double servings for each order! We had a mighty fine time at dinner, before strolling along the promenade late at night. That capped the rest of our day today, and I hope you enjoyed reading. Do take a look at the many beautiful pictures below. Have a nice day, cheers!
