DAY 134

Jan 13

1) Today has been a lazy day for me. Woke up late, had toast for breakfast, and packed up to go to the library. The ground floor section was closed for carpet cleaning, so I went up the second floor. To be honest, this was the first time I've studied upstairs - usually I'm always downstairs as it is more convenient. I never thought the library would be this big haha.

2) For lunch, I had pepperoni pizza (the usual one from Dunnes XD). I was chatting online with my friends when I received an email about lectures this Monday. Unfortunately, these would coincide with my medical appointment, so I tried to call Mercer Medical Centre to change my appointment date, to no avail. I guess I will have to call them again the next day...

3) A short nap later, and it was evening. So I went downstairs to Mercer Cafe to reheat my pasta. Shortly after my dinner, I popped over to my friend, Esther's apartment. Played some round of cards with the gang, before we settled on a movie to watch that night - Kung Fu Mahjong XD. We finished at around 11.30pm, so I hurriedly packed up and headed home. Not that it mattered anyway, as it was a long, cold walk haha. That was how my day turned out, and I hope you enjoyed it. 

4) Just for fun, here is a poem which I really like - The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost. This was made compulsory reading back in Secondary 2, and somehow I find that its main theme of making decisions and not regretting them later on, really resonate with me. Sometimes I think about the paths that I have chosen, and wonder how things may have turned out differently if I had taken a different route. Anyways, enjoy the poem - one of the most famous ones yet frequently misunderstood - and have a great day. Cheers!

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, 
And sorry I could not travel both 
And be one traveller, long I stood 
And looked down one as far as I could 
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair 
And having perhaps the better claim,

Though as for that the passing there 
Had worn them really about the same, 

And both that morning equally lay 
In leaves no step had trodden black.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - 
I took the one less travelled by, 
And that has made all the difference.
